Alex has extensive experience within the construction and development market spanning some 37 years. Over the past four years he has been co-investor and developer of approximately 600 beds of student accommodation over four sites throughout the UK. Alex took the schemes from site purchase, through both the planning and delivery process.

These projects were carried out along with a number of other developments under the CKC Properties banner where he was Development Director.

Prior to CKC he spent eleven years at Wickes Properties Ltd where he was responsible for the development and construction of approximately 3,000,000 ft2 of retail space over some 150 sites and 1,000,000 ft2 of warehousing for Wickes Building Supplies and Focus DIY throughout the mainland UK. As Head of Construction he ran a large property team who were focused on delivering design and value engineered projects, all with an emphasis on cost control and delivery date to meet the trading periods of the business. These projects were developed both on a freehold and leasehold basis.

Alex’s earlier carrier was spent at Trafalgar House where he was a Senior Quantity Surveyor working on many commercial, Government and marine projects.
