The site was assembled by the SPV and after extensive negotiations with the LPA, planning was granted, subject to conditions, by Brighton & Hove City Council on Wednesday 13 December 2017, for a 189 studio scheme, plus five separate apartments.
Designed with a dedicated student lounge, workspace and a roof terrace, plus a community hub on the ground floor with meeting rooms, co-working space and a cafe.
The total GEA was 88,000 ft2 with a GDV of £40m.
The site was sold by Knight Frank’s student property team in August 2018, on behalf of CKC Properties Limited, for £11,350,000. The site was purchased by a U.K. based owner operator, represented by Barbers Property.
